At least Ally thinks so!
On February 4 Allyson chose to be baptized a member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! She has been so very excited. She chose
rainbow cupcakes with clouds because of a song she likes about baptism. We
found her a dress. She got to share the program with another girl that was
getting baptized from our ward but she got to choose the opening song, and a musical
number, who gave the opening prayer, and who gave the baptism talk. She chose
who baptized her, who confirmed her and her 2 witnesses. Unfortunately one of
the witnesses got called away on a search and rescue search out in Park Valley
but another uncle filled in. Afterward we went to Ally’s grandparents house and
had her cupcakes with ice cream. She got lots of gifts as well. Thank you everyone for coming and sharing
this special day with Ally and us. It means so much to us! Ally also got to go
up to the pulpit at church the next day and receive her baptismal and confirmation
certificate. She bore her testimony in sacrament meeting. It ended up only
being 3 sentences long because she was so nervous, but she told me her testimony before church and it was
the sweetest testimony. Simple, honest, true to her heart. It makes me feel like I’m
doing okay by her. Thank you Ally for being a shining example to me.
