Darn Wind

Two days ago I thought to myself "Hmm what am I going to do today?" It was a beautiful day so I decided to rake the leaves. I figured the leaf picker-upper guys haven't been by in a while, I'll get that done so they can pick them up. Half way through raking they came by on the other side of the street. I thought maybe if I picked up the pace I'll be done by the time they came by my side. Nope. Not even close. So I figure, I'll make lemonade out of this situation. I raked half of them back onto the yard into a big pile, then call the girls out. Do they want to jump in the leaves? No, they want to rake too. They make little progress, and it wasn't until I made the plunge that they got in the leaves too. We had a lot of fun! Jeremy came out and played for awhile too. He took them inside while I finished raking. It took me a bit longer than I anticipated but I got it done. Well the next morning I woke up to the wind blowing. It wasn't just breezes it was gales. It knocked over my garbage cans, my little turkey hanging on the porch (broke his feet and hat off, don't worry I fixed him), and I'm surprised my trampoline didn't take off too. It also scattered all the leaves back over into the yard. It looks like I didn't rake at all that day. Grrr! Oh well, memories were created so it was worth it. Maybe the next nice day we have I'll forget the darn leaves and put up some Christmas lights.

It is so fun to play in the leaves. I hope you guys have a great Thanksgiving. We will be in Utah this week we should get together. If you want to send me your phone number in an e-mail. We will only be around Friday/Saturday so we won't have much time. It would be nice to see you.

LOL, what a pain. Oh well, exercise is always good for you and playing in the leaves is always a good idea.
